Best student presentation prize

We are delighted to announce that this year we will award the best student talk and poster presented at the conference. The Best student presentation prize will be awarded to the best contributed talk and to the best poster presented at the conference. The talk/poster must be produced and presented by a student. The prize jury consists of members of ULSPIE. The winners of the prize will be announced during the award ceremony at the end of the conference.

Evaluation criteria for oral presentations:

Content Clearly stated research problem
  Context and importance of research demonstrated
  Results clearly interpreted
  Conclusions correspond to problem
Visuals Clear layout, not overcrowded
  Readability (font, size, style)
  Legible figures conveying results effectively
Performance Smooth transition from issue to issue
  Engagement with audience (eye contact and etc.)
  Enthusiastic / inspirational / amazing performance
General Coherence (Organization of information)
  Ability to answer questions
  Adherence to time limit

Evaluation criteria for poster presentations:

Content Clearly stated research problem
  Context and importance of research demonstrated
  Results clearly interpreted
  Conclusions correspond to problem
Visuals Clear layout, not overcrowded
  Readability (font, size, style. Words are easy to read from an appropriate distance: 0.8-1.6 m)
  Legible figures conveying results effectively
Performance Active engagement with audience, enthusiastic performance.
General Coherence (Poster is well organized and easy to follow)
  Ability to answer questions
